I Expect You to Die is virtual reality game that mixes James Bond with escape rooms. You take on the persona of “The Agent”, and try to solve puzzles to thwart Dr. Zoraxis and their evil plans. “Death Engine” is the seventh and final level in the installment that relies heavily on audio cues to tell the story and indicate clues for progression.

The opening moment of this level. This uses different layers of spatialized and non-spatialized audio to help enhance the sense of space. I also used dynamic filters to help give power to shockwave moment.

This shows an audio system I set up to spatialize, attenuate and trigger sounds based on what fuses are plugged in and how far the listener is from the audio source.
